First IFBB Pro Show for Bikini: $10,000 Prize
The first official IFBB Pro Bikini contest has been announced; the 2010 Europa Battle of Champions which will be held July 23-24, 2010 at the Hartford Convention Center in Connecticut, USA. The show is new on the IFBB events calendar, and will be promoted by Betty and Ed Pariso, and also includes men’s bodybuilding, women’s bodybuilding and figure. The total prize package is $90,000 US, with $10,000 for the new pro Bikini division.

Prize money for the various divisions is as follows:
Men’s Bodybuilding: $50,000 [$62,000 AU]
Women’s Pro Bodybuilding: $15,000 [$18,600 AU]
Pro Figure: $15,000 [$18,600 AU]
Pro Bikini: $10,000 [$12,400]
There will be no professional fitness division.
Although we can assume a pro show for the bikini division will be held prior to this [the 2010 Arnold Classic is likely to incorporate a pro bikini division] this is the first formal announcement of an IFBB Bikini pro show.

As of now, there are only two IFBB bikini pros, with the American NPC expected to produce around thirty more this year, and presumably the international community will commence awarding IFBB pro cards in Bikini as well.
